Watch the News Tonight

For those of you that are local, be sure to watch the 11 o'clock news tonight on Channel 47. Dawn Lopez is doing another story on Gilyard. I will post the video on my site later when it becomes available.

Tiffany,

I just read your article on Media Transparency. I applaud you for having the courage to speak out and confront this man and this issue.

I also read the blog comment where someone said they felt sorry for your husband. If your husband is anything like my husband, he is behind you 100%. Be encouraged as you continue to be obedient to the Holy Spirit.

Thank you Dawn Lopez for keeping up with the Gilyard story. We trust that you will be keeping your eye out to find out where and when he pops up in Georgia, and that you will do a story on it to expose him...that is if he ever makes it out of Jacksonville without being put away.

My guess is his next church will be one quite large, with lots of congregants, and church will be "round the clock"....as he serves at Union County Correction Institute, or perhaps the Raiford State Prison...those are two huge "mega churches" that would love to have him come and "pastor"...he can preach in the courtyard about Jesus, then at night pass "text messages" on napkins to the other inmates. It will be just like old times at Shiloh and Victory Baptist!

i don't know...ms. lopez's story seemed so incomplete. i learned more about gilyard's past from mrs. croft's website.

I agree that there wasn't much new in Ms. Lopez's story. There are still many questions to be answered about Gilyard's activity at Concorde, and why Paige Patterson didn't stop Gilyard right then and there, but instead chose to believe Gilyard instead of Dr. E.K. Bailey when Bailey told Patterson that Gilyard had "inappropriate contact" (ahem) with 25 women in his church...and why Paige Patterson whipped up his Criswell students to get them to support Gilyard against the accusations from Dr. Bailey...but back to Ms. Lopez....you can bet she will stay up on the story and will be all over Gilyard if any new allegations pop up.

Great job Tiffany, keep up the good work. I was wondering where he got 12 million to build the new church for shiloh Metro? Is there a side financial arrangement with him and his investors?

Shiloh is God's church. There are many members and quite a few are true tithers, so it would not be hard to get a loan to build God's church if that's what He wanted to do. Gilyard has to pay, however I will not question how God used anything to build His church.

Great Job Tiffany keep up the fight. I just want to say about how Shiloh, not DG, got the money to build the new church. I am no longer a member there but we raised that money. We gave our tithe and offerings freely. He did not beg, twist our arms or nothing, just showed the vision and we responded. The bank saw the vision and knew with what we were able to put up, we would be able to pay back the portion they gave as a loan. SO lets keep that clear and stay on the topic at hand.

This man needs to be stoped for his sexual acts. This is not knew (of course) the leadership team knew about it. Rather from Page Patterson or not, they knew and decided to cover up.

NIV- 2 Peter 2:9
If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.

Keywords: godly men & unrighteous

Tiffany,

I read somewhere that defendants don't always have to appear at their arraignment. Their attorney can represent them. Since this is felony, I don't know for sure. It will be interesting to see if he shows.

Also, there is still nothing being said about charges being pursued for actions against the 16 year old. My understanding is that she is the one with the journal. Do you know what's going on with that case?

It all will come out.
Pray for Tuesday's court date.

You are correct. He does not have to appear. His attorney may enter a written plea of not guilty and then the legal process elevates to the next level.

I would think he had to appear due to them saying he can go anywhere he wants to but had to be back in town for Feb 5th at 9am. The eharinf is public, so I'm sure there will be a lot of spectators.
